J. Craig Caldwell, President and CEO

  • Craig co-founded The Cosmo Group back in 2005 as a personal concierge company. Coming from the corporate world of telecom sales where he worked from dawn to dusk, he saw the need for what was a high demand service in cities such as LA and New York, he then co-founded Cosmopolitan Concierge. Cosmopolitan Concierge was a personal errand company dedicated to giving people back their time by “taking care of the details, so you can live life.” After a few years of providing this service to busy Atlanta executives, he then started approaching the bustling condo market in order to increase resident satisfaction by offering Concierge services as they would receive in 5-star resorts and upscale hotels. Craig quickly discovered the main service that was missing in condominiums was the lack of professionalism, image, and service of the front desk which was predominately carefree security guards or essentially warm bodies at the desk. He then approached a property management company in hopes of taking his high level of services combined with his understanding of what customer service in high rises should be. In late 2006, Cosmopolitan officially launched our onsite Concierge services. A combination of upscale service and services within the unique residential setting to rival other cities who have been using Concierge for front desk service for years. “Our main obstacle was and is still convincing residents that we increase the value of the buildings by providing the best of the best in terms of service without having to sacrifice security and integrity of the buildings and the safety of the residents, with Cosmo you don’t have to sacrifice either security or service.”

    In 2010, Craig re-branded Cosmopolitan Concierge to The Cosmo Group in order to expand its service offerings. The Cosmo Group is the Southeast’s only complete “property solutions company”. The services include concierge, valet, janitorial services, doorman, bellhops, and pool attendants.

    James Bailey, Vice President

  • James oversees all operations with Concierge and Valet services as well as marketing and partnerships. Since joining Cosmo in 2007, he has held several positions with the company. Most recently, he led Cosmo’s southeast direct sales operations. He also developed and managed the company’s operations in the Florida and Georgia markets and was responsible for creating and expanding strategic partnerships in those regions for the benefit of Cosmo’s growth.

    Prior to joining Cosmo, he was in food and Beverage Management for The Intercontinental Hotel Group. While there, he increased sales and raised service standards. In 1999, he started working with The Ritz Carlton Hotels Group also in the Food and Beverage division. Prior to joining The Ritz Carlton he spearheaded the service of one of the 14 Mobile five star restaurants in the country, Seeger’s.
